Terms of sale
Last updated: 30 October 2026
1. Parties
Supplier: HardyPress SRL, Via G. Abbati 18, 50142 Firenze (FI), Italy, VAT number IT06749370489, contact for the Service: hello@nixorium.org, the “Supplier”. Customer: the school, institution or organisation that starts a trial or buys a subscription, the “Customer”. The service is intended for professional and institutional users; it is not offered to consumers.
2. Subject matter
Nixorium Assistant (the “Service”) is a subscription service that, through an artificial intelligence model, prepares proposed changes to the configuration of a Nixorium laboratory. The proposals:
- are prepared in a private copy of the configuration on the Customer’s controller;
- are evaluated automatically but not applied: saving them and updating the computers always requires an explicit action by the Customer’s administrator;
- may contain errors. The Customer is responsible for reviewing and testing them, for example by updating a single computer first.
To diagnose problems, the Service may read bounded state, logs and system files of the laboratory computers, as described in the privacy policy.
The Nixorium software remains open source and can be used without the Service.
3. Free trial
After registering with an email address and the school name, the Customer may use the Service free of charge for a trial, for a single laboratory. The terms of the trial (the number of requests and of days) are those shown by the Service at registration, currently 30 requests within 90 days. One free trial is allowed per laboratory; the same email address may register several laboratories, each under its own name. The trial does not renew and carries no charge.
4. Subscription, price and quota
- The subscription is annual, per laboratory (one Nixorium controller).
- Price: EUR 360 + VAT per year per laboratory, unless a different price is shown at the time of purchase.
- The subscription includes 1000 requests per year per laboratory. A request is one message sent to Assistant and the work done up to the answer. Unused requests do not carry over to the following year.
- Once the quota is used up, the Service stays suspended until renewal, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Payment is made through Stripe at the time of purchase. The electronic invoice is issued through the Italian Exchange System (SDI).
- Public administrations that cannot pay by card can write to hello@nixorium.org: the subscription is activated on order, with payment by bank transfer and electronic invoice.
5. Term, renewal and withdrawal
The subscription renews automatically every year, unless cancelled from the Stripe customer portal or by email to hello@nixorium.org before the renewal date. Amounts already paid are non-refundable, except as provided in section 7 or by mandatory law.
6. Activation
After payment, or after registering for the trial, the Customer receives a single-use activation code. A replacement code can be requested if the controller is reinstalled; activating the new code deactivates the previous controller.
7. Availability and liability
The Service is provided with reasonable care but without a guarantee of continuous availability. The Supplier is not liable for damage arising from applying proposals that the Customer has not verified. The Supplier’s total liability is limited to the amount paid by the Customer in the twelve months preceding the event, except in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
8. Permitted use
The Customer must not send the Service personal data of students or staff, credentials or secrets, nor use it for purposes other than managing its own laboratory.
9. Saved conversations and reports
By default, Assistant saves the laboratory’s conversations on the Supplier’s service for 90 days, to find and fix mistakes in Assistant; the Customer can switch this off in the Assistant settings. The Customer may also send individual conversations (reporting an answer). The Supplier uses them only to fix mistakes and improve the Service, keeps them for 90 days and does not disclose them to third parties.
10. Personal data
The processing of data is described in the privacy policy. For any personal data contained in what the Customer sends, the Supplier acts as data processor under a data processing agreement, available on request.
11. Changes
The Supplier may change these terms with 30 days’ notice by email; changes apply from the next renewal.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
Italian law. Competent court: Florence (Foro di Firenze).
